Part-time Employment

OFF-CAMPUS EMPLOYMENT
Students may apply for part-time, off-campus jobs by going to 400 Wilder Tower to review the hard copy information for part-time opportunities.

Employers may fax their part-time, off-campus positions to at 678-4836.

ON-CAMPUS STUDENT EMPLOYMENT
The University of Memphis has two types of on-campus employment for students: Federal Work Study and Regular Student Employment.

Federal Work Study (FWS) is a need-based Financial Aid award. It is a federally funded, University administered program designed to help defray the cost of post-secondary education. In order to be considered for current FWS positions, students must contact financial aid first and be determined eligible for this program.

Regular Student Employment (RSE) is a program that offers on-campus, part-time jobs to students who do not qualify for Federal Work Study. The program is administered by the University. In order to be considered for current RSE positions, students must apply with the Student Employment Office.

Students cannot be employed under both programs simultaneously. Since there are differences in the two programs, it is important that students know under which program they are employed and the responsibilities of that program.
