Faculty: Encourage your students to register with Career Services – It’s FREE!

Career Services helps students develop proficient job search skills that enable them to effectively represent themselves to prospective employers, with a special emphasis on internships. Our services are available to undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni.

Students should become involved in career preparation during their freshman year. We encourage all students to begin exploring career opportunities as soon as they enroll at the University of Memphis. All internship, full-time, and part-time opportunities are provided online through our free career management software program, the Experience eRecruiting Network.

All Students Have Free Access to eRecruiting

The Experience eRecruiting Network is used by over 400 colleges and universities nationwide to post student resumes, schedule on-campus interviews, and provide on-line job and internship listings for students and alumni. Students may access their free personal account by going to our website, clicking on the 'eRecruiting Student Login' link and following the directions at the site. Some of the great features of eRecruiting are listed below.

ON CAMPUS INTERVIEWS - During the fall and spring semesters, recruiters representing business, industry, government, nonprofit organizations, and education conduct campus interviews for internships and full-time jobs opportunities. Qualified students may sign up for internship and job interviews through eRecruiting.

WEB RESUME BOOK - Students may upload their resumes and display them in the University of Memphis Web Resume Book for employers to view. When employers contact us about student resumes, we refer them to this on-line database. Between 3000 and 7000 resume referrals are done each year through the Web Resume Book. We now have an Internship Web Resume Book as well as one for alumni seeking employment.

STUDENTS MAY SAVE MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THEIR RESUMES - Students may save an unlimited number of different resumes through the eRecruiting system which can then be used for on campus recruiting, the web resume books, resume referrals, and applying job and internship listings.

VIEW JOB AND INTERNSHIP LISTINGS - Students may view internships, as well as part-time and full-time job listings through eRecruiting. Students are encouraged to begin looking at internship and part-time job listings during their freshman year. Twenty-three hundred (2300) jobs and internships were posted in eRecruiting by our office last academic year. Approximately 5000 additional jobs, from a variety of sources, were posted nationwide through the eRecruiting nationwide network.
