Requesting Presentations
Whether you will be in attendance or away, our professional staff can present to your class. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to educate students about the job search process, teach them skills, and make them aware of career resources.
Topics
These topics are a sampling; we can also customize a topic for you.
Presentation length can be flexible, from 45 minutes to an hour.
• Overview of Career Services
• Sources to find Internships
• Resume writing and cover letters
• Interviewing skills
• Preparing for a career fair
• Networking
• Dining etiquette
How to request a presentation:
• To ensure that we can accommodate your request, make your request at least two weeks in advance. Please note that we are heavily booked early in the semester and during career fairs.
• Email Clay Woemmel at cwoemmel@memphis.edu or call us at 678-2239.
• Specify preferred day(s) and date(s), start and end times, and location.
• Describe the size and composition (graduate, undergraduate, class levels, majors) of your group.
• Provide your phone number and email address so that we may follow up with you.
