Student Guide > How to Register > Instructions

You may wish to print these instructions before registering for easy reference.

Note: eRecruiting works best with the Internet Explorer browser.

1. Log in

  • Login eRecruitingClick on the eRecruiting link to the right to enter the website>>>
  • Enter your U of M email address in the Username box.
  • Enter your birthday in yyyymmdd format in the Password box (example: 19820214 for a birth date of Feb. 14, 1982), and click Enter.

Note: If you don't have a U of M email address, go to 124 Admin. Bldg. with your U of M ID, or bring your ID to any computer lab with a card swipe machine and you will be assigned a U of M email username - aka, Universal User ID (UUID). Your U of M email address is your username plus "@memphis.edu" (ex: astudent@memphis.edu). If your U of M email address is not in the system, please contact us at 901-678-2239.

2. Complete Your Profile

  • Click on Profile from the navigational bar.
  • Click on the Edit link for each desired Profile view: Personal Info, Academics, Future Plans or Administration. Click the Save button at the bottom as you complete/update each section of your profile.

3. Upload Your Resume and Other Documents

  • Click on Documents from the navigational bar.
  • Choose Resume or other document type i.e., Cover Letter, Writing Samples or Other Documents, in the Upload Documents section. Click on the View Sample Documents link for sample documents.
  • Click Browse to select your document from your local machine. You can only upload a MS Word or RTF file. You may enter multiple resumes by repeating this process.

Note: The FIRST resume you load will be your PRIMARY RESUME. On occasion, we may refer your resume to an employer. If you have multiple resumes loaded, your primary resume is the one that will be forwarded to employers on your behalf.

4. Publish Your Resume

  • Click on Documents from the navigational bar.
  • Go to the Publish Resumes box on the right and click the Go button. You will see a list of Web Resume Books. Choose all web resume books that you wish to be published in. You can choose which resume you wish to use from the drop down box. Note: Some web resume books are restricted to students that meet a certain criteria.
  • To remove your resume from a web resume book, select Documents from the navigational bar, go to the Publish Resumes section and click GO. Choose Remove Resume from Book from the Published Resume dropdown on the coordinating Resume Book entry and Save.

5. Updating—When you desire to change your resume, simply delete the old one(s) and upload the new one(s). PLEASE keep your resume up-to-date.

YOU HAVE NOW COMPLETED YOUR REGISTRATION!
