Skin Test for Tuberculosis

Students coming from areas of high tuberculosis transmission are required to have a Tuberculosis Skin Test (Mantoux) upon arrival at the University of Memphis.

The Tuberculosis Skin Test is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm at the Health Center.

International students must bring their I-20 form and photo identification (such as a passport) with them when requesting the Tuberculosis Skin Test at the Health Center.

Students with permanent resident cards must bring their permanent resident card with them when requesting the Tuberculosis Skin Test at the Health Center.

Student Health Services charges $15.00 for the Tuberculosis Skin Test and a chest x-ray is required for patients with a positive test result. The cost of the chest x-ray is $20.00.
