Skin Test for Tuberculosis

International students coming from areas of high tuberculosis transmission are required to have a Tuberculosis Skin Test (Mantoux) upon arrival at the University of Memphis .

The Tuberculosis Skin Test will be available during the new international student orientation and is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at the Health Center . International students must bring their I-20 form and photo identification (such as a passport) with them when requesting the Tuberculosis Skin Test at the Health Center .

Student Health Services charges $15.00 for the Tuberculosis Skin Test and a chest x-ray is required for patients with a positive test result. The cost of the chest x-ray is $20.00
