MISSION STATEMENT

Promote student learning through discipline that is creative and thought-provoking which focuses on pursuing the truth and fairness to all involved, while maintaining the integrity of the disciplinary process and fostering the University's educational goals, mission and values.

OFFICE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Office of Judicial and Ethical Programs administers the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities and other student policies, including academic dishonesty, classroom disruptive behavior, peer-to-peer sexual harassment, sexual assault, and student organizations. Our responsibilities include investigating complaints filed against students, referring students for academic and personal counseling services, administrative adjudication of cases, and monitoring student completion of sanctions. We provide student ethical programming addressing issues of academic integrity, civility, and dispute resolution.

We train and support the disciplinary committees of Academic Integrity, Behavioral Standards, and University Appeal, as well as Student Government Court . We work in collaboration with academic and administrative departments to conduct training workshops for faculty, graduate assistants and staff on policies and procedures affecting students.
