FIRST DAY
OF CLASSES –
CHECK SCHEDULES
Students should be sure to verify the accuracy of their schedules. Prior to the first day of classes, students should check TIGERWEB for any classroom assignment changes, and also check the Enrollment Status of each course for which they have registered. The Enrollment Status of all courses should say “Enrolled.” If your student has been issued a permit for a closed or restricted course, he/she must be sure to activate the permit by registering for the course. When a Department issues a permit, it simply gives the student permission to register for the class. Until the student registers for the class, he/she is not considered “Enrolled.”
PURGE FOR NON PAYMENT
–
According to
University policy,
students must pay for their classes by the fee payment deadline. Prior
to that
deadline, every effort is made by the University to warn students that
they
must pay their fees or risk having their registration purged. Students
who have
registered and have not paid their fees, or 50% (installment plan) of
the
remaining balance due after awards are applied, by the payment deadline
will
have their enrollment deleted.
For students who registered during regular
registration, the
fee payment deadline for Spring 2005 is
Students will soon be able to view their invoices/statements online! Be sure to have your son or daughter update their University email address and link it to their personal email if desired at http://iam.memphis.edu to make sure that they receive email reminders to view their invoices. They will even be able to request that a copy of the reminder email be sent to YOU! Have them watch their email for updates and additional information during January.
Registration and grade holds are placed on accounts of students who owe the University money. Please remind your son or daughter to pay off any outstanding charges so that they may receive current semester grades and register for Summer or Fall 2005. Account balances may be paid over the telephone at (901) 678-8600 or may be viewed and paid online at https://www.memphis.edu/cashnet/359/cgi/login.pl
Also, remember to ask your son or daughter to sign you up for a Parent PIN so that you can view and pay your student’s charges. For more information, visit our website at http://bf.memphis.edu/finance/bursar/whatsnew.php
