Muldrow, Coordinator, Commencement and Student Affairs Special Events Contact: Vanessa Muldrow, vmuldrow@memphis.edu 500 Wilder Tower Position Description Graduate Assistant, Commencement Office and Student Affairs Learning and Assessment Position entails communicating through email, the telephone, and in person with constituents including students, faculty, alumni, and other important university allies. Position requires working a 10-hour shift at the FedEx Forum during commencements on Saturday, Dec 13, and Saturday, May 9. Additional duties include organizational tasks related to commencement and diploma orders. Position also supports the Director of Student Affairs Learning and Assessment, and related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program for Fall 2008 at the University of Memphis. Candidate must be dependable, flexible and have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Access and File Maker Pro is a plus. Candidate also should be able to work independently and well with others. Candidate must be able to lift and move equipment for Commencement. Candidate should generally be available to work during the fall semester between the approximate hours of 11 am – 3 pm Monday-Thursdays, and approximately 8-4:30 pm on Fridays.
