Student Organization Information

Welcome to the Registered Student Organization web site.  Over 200 student organizations exist at the University of Memphis, reflecting the diverse nature of our student body.  These groups offer programs, leadership opportunities, and activities that appeal to a varied set of interest from athletics to the arts, community service to cultural to religious, and scholarship to governance.  If you are interested in finding more about Registered Student Organizations from 2012-2013 and what they did, please click the 2012-2013 RSOs link at the top of this page. The 2013-2014 RSOs link above will list student organizations that have successfully registered or re-registered for 2013-2014.

Additionally, the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement provides funding, resources, and advertisements to all RSO's members, officers, and advisors.  It also provides guidance to students interested in starting a new organization!  Stop by 211 University Center, call 678-2035 or e-mail rso@memphis.edu for more information.

Registration Process

Please CLICK REGISTER on the top menu to register or re-register your organization. At the beginning of the registration process you'll be asked to setup an account.  During the 2013-2014 year, you could use this account to keep your RSO information up-to-date by following the UPDATE link on the top menu.

There are several parts to registration.  The first part is the online form.  It needs to be completed in one sitting. The second part is to upload your Constitution and/or Bylaws online in MS Word or PDF format. You'll be prompted to do so after you submit the online form. The third part is to print and submit forms with your advisor(s) and members' signatures.  You'll be prompted to print these forms out after you upload your Constitution and/or Bylaws.  After all of these pieces are submitted, the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement will review your information and make a decision regarding your registration request.  Prior to registering, be sure to view the registration process demo under FAQs on the top menu to make sure that you have all required information.

By completing these online registration forms, your group will be on its way to becoming a Registered Student Organization at The University of Memphis. Submitting this form online does not guarantee registration, but it is the first step in the process.  Among the advantages of registering your student group are being able to reserve program and meeting space, advertisement of your group in Office of Student Leadership and Involvement publications, and funding.
